FENG
SHUI DO'S & DONT's FOR CAREER |
You
did not get that promotion, you did not get that bonus, you did
not get that project and you missed winning the lottery by one
number. Worst of all, your boss informed you that should there
be retrenchment, you are among the 'to-go' list. Whatever went
wrong? You have been coming in early and going home late just
to finish your work. All those career seminars and motivational
talks seem to be of no use to you now. You just want your career
to be back on the right track. Where do you start?

DO's :
sleep in your 'sheng chi' (success) direction? This is very important
as we spent one third of our lives sleeping away. Sleeping with
your head pointed at your 'sheng chi' direction can help usher
in positive 'chi', which is very beneficial for your general well-being.
Given below is a table of success directions for Kua Numbers 1-9.

DONT's
: have a toilet in the North section of your house.
If a toilet is located in the North, hang a wind chime or place
a large stone in the toilet.
|
| |
DO's
: energize the North corner of your living room
with an aquarium or a painting depicting calm water. You can also
have a small aquarium in the North corner of your office containing
eight gold and one black fish.
|
| |
DONT's
: energize the North section in your bedroom with
water because it will lead to health related problems.
|
| |
DO's
: sit facing
your 'sheng chi' direction in your own office. If that is not
possible, try placing your office table in the corner diagonal
to the entrance door of your office (the 'lucky' corner). If you
work in a cubicle, place some career enhancement symbols on your
desk if you cannot change your sitting direction.
|
| |
DONT's
: sit with your back facing doors or windows.
This indicates betrayal and disloyalty, all pointed to you. Position
your desk so that your back is facing a solid wall. If possible,
hang a picture of mountains (no water feature in the painting)
at the back. It symbolizes the black tortoise 'guarding' your
back.
|
| |
DO's
: try not
to place any open bookshelves behind your back in your office.
The open shelves represent knives, and they bring bad 'shar chi'
(poisen arrows) at you. If you really really have to have that
bookshelf behind you, cover it with a cloth to mask the offending
shelves. Also, watch out for poison arrows caused by protruding
corners or pillars. You can disguise the sharp corners by placing
a pot of plant in front of it. |
| |
| DONT's
: sit under an overexposed beam as it will cause
severe headaches and brings you stress. If you share an office with
a few other colleagues, discuss a plan to sneak into the office
at night to amouflage the beam! You can also try to be nice to your
boss and hopes that he relocates your working table! Alternately,
place a couple of bamboo flutes on the beams to minimize the negative
chi'. |
| |
| DO's
:
try and place some career enhancement symbols on your office
desk. These are the Phoenix, crystals and a boat or a sailing ship
into your direction. If you have an image of the Phoenix, place
it in the South section of your office. |
| |
| DONT's
: place your table against a wall shared by the
toilet. If there is a toilet above your office, move your desk to
another spot. The 'flushing' of the toilet will similarly 'flush'
away opportunities and luck. |
| |
| DO's
: Be nice to your boss.......!! This is the most
important tip, a tried and true trick of the trade, a secret of
the industry............ |
