Please remember that your heaven luck is the predominant factor that rules your life. Feng Shui of your home and work place can manipulate your earth luck.. It suppresses, NOT eliminates whatever negative aspects are in your life, and can ENHANCE positive aspects.

Let me give you an example :

If your heaven luck is good, good Feng Shui can enhance it further

If you heaven luck is average, good Feng Shui can create the right environment to help you in clearer thinking and better decision-making.

If your heaven luck is bad, good Feng Shui can lessen the obstacle’s that you are destined to go through.

In Feng Shui, we all have four auspicious and four inauspicious directions which are based on your Gua number. Your Gua Number is calculated from your date of birth.

Formula for Calculating Your Gua Number Add the last 2 digits of your Chinese year of birth based on the lunar calendar. If the sum is higher than 10, reduce to a single digit. For men, deduct this number from 10. For women, add this number to 5. If you get a 2 digit number, keep adding until you reduce it to a single digit. The result is your
Gua Number.

E.g. Birth year 1986, 8 + 6 = 14, then 1 + 4 = 5. For males 10 - 5 = 5 (Gua).
For females, 5 + 5 = 10, then 1 + 0 = 1 (Gua).

When you have determined you auspicious directions, it is important that you remember them. Always try to face one of your most auspicious directions. Each of the eight directions has its own type of luck, Good or Bad, as they are all based on your Gua Number. I advise you to print out the chart or make a copy of it until you are able to remember them.

To start your personal Feng Shui Journey, use the chart above with the aid of a compass to find your most auspicious corners and location in your home. By eating, sitting, working and sleeping in your auspicious directions, you will help to increase your luck. If your Gua number is 5, men should use the Gua Number 2 and women should use the Gua Number 8.
